End of Life Spiritual Care

End of Life Spiritual Care

Dying is a normal part of life. Ideally our culture would embrace this natural experience as we have birth by treating it in much the same way. When someone is dying, they typically want to discuss their dying, their living as well as the hopes they have for being remembered.

Our caring staff at Pacific Institute for Essential Conversations (PIEC) is dedicated to the encouragement and cultivation of honest, heart to heart conversation about what matters most in our living and dying. We specialize in the art of skillful conversations that hold the power to change lives, heal spirit and restore soul.

Talking about death or breaking bad news is reported to be the most difficult and demanding tasks that folks in health care face. Many feel poorly trained and emotionally ill equipped. Having a simple clear strategy lessens the demands on your role. It is essential that the health care professional attain and maintain open, clear communication with families and patient. Your role is significantly important in directing the path toward the end of life. As a social worker, doctor, PA, RN, chaplain or spiritual leader your words hold deep trust and importance to your patient and their /families. Knowing what and how to talk to others at this time is significantly important. Pacific Institute for Essential Conversations (PIEC) is dedicated to the cultivation, encouragement and art of skillful conversations that hold the power to change lives, heal spirit and restore soul.

We provide programs to educate and support professionals in their roles where essential conversations need to occur. Our staff assist you in learning a strategy that can support your patient’s / parishioners through these difficult times.

Please contact John or Barbara so we can find the program that fits your needs.

Our goal is to help you to talk with one another about what matters most
